OUR STORY

Our story began with the experience of a couple who waited 11 years before welcoming their first child, whom they lovingly named DMariano. Their journey through infertility inspired them to establish the DMariano Pro-Fertility Foundation with a single mission: to ensure that no couple has to face fertility challenges alone.

In Nigeria, infertility often carries a heavy social and emotional burden. Many women experience stigma and blame, couples endure isolation and immense pressure, and families struggle in silence. For those in underserved communities, the lack of reliable information, professional guidance, and emotional support makes the journey even more difficult.

DMariano Pro-Fertility Foundation was created to change that reality.

Our mission is to bridge this critical gap by providing evidence-based fertility education, compassionate counseling, and practical support to individuals and couples navigating fertility challenges, regardless of their income level or geographic location.

We are officially registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT 155823), reflecting our commitment to transparency, accountability, and the wellbeing of the communities we serve.

    TESTIMONIAL

    Real stories of exceptional care.

I didn't realize my reproductive health was at risk until I attended their youth education workshop. Catching it early changed everything. Every couple needs this information.

    Amara

The financial burden of treatment was breaking us apart. DMariano's assistance program made the difference between giving up and trying again. Their counselor helped us communicate better too. Worth every consultation fee.

    Blessing & Eze

We were told it was impossible. DMariano didn't just refer us to a doctor they counseled us through the emotional rollercoaster and helped us think clearly about adoption. Today, we have our daughter. The foundation didn't just change our medical outcome; they restored our hope.

    Good distinction. Advocacy requires:

    • Direct engagement with policymakers and healthcare leaders (not just posts)
    • Research and data to back up claims (so we're credible)
    • Strategic partnerships with other organizations and government bodies
    • Sustained effort over time (not one-time activism)
    • Accountability – we track what happens and report back

We're not just raising awareness. We're changing systems.

Yes. You don't have to be the "face" of advocacy to be involved. You can:

    • Respond to surveys we conduct on fertility access (completely anonymous)
    • Share your story privately with policymakers (we handle the communication)
    • Attend private advocacy meetings with healthcare leaders
    • Support awareness campaigns without being identified

Your privacy is paramount. Advocacy doesn't mean going public.

No, not at all. The best time to start is now even if you're already several months pregnant.

First trimester? You'll learn foundational nutrition, what screenings to expect, and early warning signs.

Second trimester? You'll prepare for labor, learn about pain management options, and understand fetal development.

Third trimester? We'll prepare you for delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.

Even late in pregnancy, education and support make a measurable difference in outcomes and your sense of control.

Yes, and we recommend it. Pre-conception counseling is valuable because:

    • You can optimize your health before pregnancy (better nutrition, managing health conditions, etc.)
    • You'll know what to expect during pregnancy
    • You can address risk factors early
    • You'll have realistic expectations about the pregnancy journey

Starting before conception gives you a head start.

Good question. Many organizations do health outreach. Here's what makes ours different:

    • Fertility-focused – we specialize in reproductive health, not general health
    • Underserved communities – we prioritize rural and low-income areas that other organizations skip
    • Free services – screening and education are free (no hidden fees)
    • Professional staff – trained counselors and health educators, not just volunteers
    • Follow-up support – we don't just do an event and leave; we create pathways for continued support
    • Local partnerships – we work with community leaders, traditional rulers, and local health centers

We're not just showing up. We're building trust and sustainable change.
